April Joy is a Florida native, that shares time between Santa Monica, California and Nosara, Costa Rica. She is the founder of and co-teacher of Sol 2 Soul, a yoga retreat company that was created to bring together her love of yoga, surfing and travel. April’s vinyasa classes are like the waves of the ocean, they start slow, build momentum and then taper down to stillness. Classes are heat building, core concentrated and creatively sequenced. There is an emphasis on the use of props, as well as fluid easy breathing & energetic alignment. The effort and focus throughout class is designed to lead into the sweet release & expanse of savasana. April’s deepest inspiration and greatest teachers are drawn from the various elements found in nature: Earth, water, fire air, sun moon and stars. Other inspirations include insights from the great mystics, yogis, goddesses, shamans, poets, musicians, surfers, dancers, scientists, social activists and indigenous people of the past & present. Daniel Cordua is a sought after yoga teacher, spiritual educator, collaborator & massage therapist throughout the Philadelphia area & beyond. He is also co-owner of the one-of-a-kind healing sanctuary & creative space, Palo Santo Wellness Boutique. His journey towards a healthier body, steadier mind and more open heart has drawn Daniel to not only study & teach dynamic vinyasa yoga, but yoga philosophy and ancient yogic texts – especially bhakti yoga, or the yoga of devotion. Daniel has pursued this interest by studying continuously in India & with renowned teacher, Raghunath, recently completing his 500 hr Yoga Certification. An avid fan of mantra, singing, and meditation, Daniel is fascinated by the stories & deep wisdom of the yoga tradition. His classes are full of astute observation of the physical, while the true focus is a deep understanding of the spiritual. Informed through his massage & bodywork practice, Daniel is aware of just how important yoga & mantra can be for those dealing with stressful lives, tight bodies, and cluttered minds. Daniel’s teaching is fun, aligned, challenging and infused with ancient wisdom for modern ears. He continuously offers workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats locally, nationally & internationally. He offers his teaching up to his teachers, his students, and as service to that which connects us all – the light, love & true freedom of spirit. His website here.
