The role of the Front Desk Agent includes, but is not limited to, assisting in all Front Office operations of the hotel, such as greeting clients as they arrive, assisting in coordinating their check-ins to assigned rooms and informing them about the hotel’s facilities, accommodating guests’ requests, and signing students into yoga classes using MindBody software.
Ultimately, you will be an integral part of the Guest Relations team and will work to uphold the hotel’s image by answering guests’ requests and making sure our visitors are completely satisfied.
The Front Desk Agent reports to the Guest Relations Manager, Operations Manager, and Reservations Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in coordinating all arrivals and departures of guests
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and financial transactions
- Greet clients upon their arrival and give a tour of the hotel
- Assist with coordinating luggage delivery
- Inform clients of our hotel services, including breakfast and dining options
- Promote all amenities, conveniences and programs offered
- Assist in any extra projects/works needed by management
- Respond to any questions, needs, and desires of guests, and follow up with guests to ensure their requests have been met to their satisfaction
- Anticipate the unstated needs and desires of the guests
- Expect and react promptly to guests’ requirements and inquiries
- Actively listen and resolve guests’ complaints
- Coordinate and promote all off-site activities by encouraging guests to signup
- Provide upscale guest service experiences for clients throughout their stay
- Ensure special guests, like retreat leaders, disabled people, elderly, and VIPs, receive personalized services
- Recommend local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop and sight-see
- Establish friendly relationships with regular hotel clients
- Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in
- Examine daily Appointments in MindBody and assist the Wellness Manager
- Deliver all pertinent information to the Wellness Manager regarding guests therapy sessions and classes
- Liaise with Housekeepers and Wait Staff to provide an overall comfortable guest experience
- Monitor House Status in PMS and communicate cleaning needs to Housekeeping
We are looking for an experienced, kind-hearted, person with a background in hospitality and office administration to:
- Handle check-ins and check-outs
- Accommodate guest requests
- Sign-in students into yoga classes using MindBody software
- Communicate with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms
- Promote hotel services and activities
- Book and schedule appointments and activities for guests
- Handle cash & CC payments
- Maintain a clean and neat front desk area
- Contribute to the operations of the retreat center
An ideal applicant must have strong interpersonal and administrative skills. As a member of the Guest Relations team, you must be flexible with daily tasks, willing to lend a hand at any time and be confident and professional with guests of the center.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in English & Spanish
- Proficient with hotel PMS, Microsoft Excel, and MindBody
- Able to legally work in Mexico
- Must have solid professional references
- Successful history as a front desk agent or related hospitality experience

- Salary to be determined based on experience
